According to the Argentine News Agency (NA), the incident, widely shared on social media and by news outlets, was a planned part of her performance, as confirmed by the contestant and her team. During her walk, Latimer wore a green coat, a red shawl, and a matching hat while pushing a cart with the inscription 'Covent Garden', evoking Eliza Doolittle from the classic film My Fair Lady. In this context, she staged a much-talked-about fall: she collapsed on the stage, causing whispers and surprise among the audience. A few seconds later, she got up confidently, removed her coat and hat, and revealed a white dress adorned with a tiara, thus completing a stage transformation. Although many initially speculated that it was a real slip, both Latimer and her national director, Paula Abbandonato, clarified that it was all part of a carefully choreographed act. Abbandonato explained that the fall had a metaphorical meaning: it symbolized Latimer's evolution from a 'flower girl' to a refined lady, paralleling the character arc in My Fair Lady.
